The residential building in Munich's Ludwigsvorstadt resulted from a detailed development study and the investigation of maximum building rights. It offers space for 27 apartments and five commercial units and thus contributes significantly to the revitalization of the neighborhood.

Through the modern interpretation of historic facade ornamentation, the new building blends seamlessly into the neighboring Gründerzeit development. Due to the special appearance of the Wiesenviertel ensemble, a building structure was developed in close coordination with the monument protection authorities, which in its height development and cubature forms a coherent group with the future neighboring buildings.

Facade Design

The proximity to the listed ensemble required particular sensitivity in the façade design. Facing Haydnstrasse and Herzog-Heinrich-Strasse, the façade has a classic structure.

The plinth is characterized by banding with a joint cut in the render. The upper floors contrast with a horizontal broom finish plaster, which has different structures depending on the incidence of light. The holistic color concept of sand and bronze tones is reflected down to the smallest detail.

Interior design

The floor plans arranged at an angle create exciting spatial sequences in the apartments. The symmetrically positioned bay window with a balcony at the end enhances both the external appearance and the spatial effect in the apartments. With disproportionately large living and dining areas, as well as balconies and loggias overlooking the inner courtyards, the two- to four-room apartments are generously proportioned and offer a high quality of life.
