The Bruckmann Quartier is located in an area on Nymphenburgerstrasse in Munich. As no master plan was existing, the possible building regulations were first examined in order to develop the conglomerate of different existing buildings for the contemporary housing market.

    Design Parameters
The intervention in the heterogeneous typological structure required the utmost sensitivity in order to strengthen its character and generously integrate the natural space despite redensification.
Spacing, existing heights, the integration of a heritage-protected building and the neighboring courtyards characterize the design concept and thus create a residential complex that makes maximum use of the available space.
Configuration
On the ground floor, passageways allow movement through the neighborhood and create private courtyards for residents. The terraces allow the newly created green spaces to be gradually led up to the roof, significantly increasing the proportion of green space in the quarter.
The new buildings make full use of the current building regulations and at the same time achieve a harmonious integration of the Bruckmann Quartier into its surroundings.
