With its sloping roofscape, the differentiated shape of the design mediates between the urban Königstrasse and the green palace gardens. The supporting structure of the existing building is largely preserved and supplemented by a timber-hybrid construction method, completing its new form.
With its self-confident architecture, the innovative approach to the existing building creates a new, striking urban building block for the city of Stuttgart.
